What is The Phase Event?
There’s something reassuring about knowing where you are, and that you’re not alone. It’s the moment when you’re lost but then see a familiar landmark, or when someone tells a story and you realize you have something in common.
That’s what we want The Phase Event to do. To let parents know that when their kid or teen whom they thought they knew well becomes a mystery, there are normal developmental changes that taking place. We want parents to know that no matter what phase your child is in, you’re not alone, and we’re here to help you navigate!
The Phase Event isn’t limited to just parents! We also want our volunteers to be equipped to understand each phase and stage, so they can partner with parents to equip, encourage, and lead.
What can I expect at The Phase Event?
- The Phase Event will take place on Saturday, September 10th, from 9-11:30AM.
- We’ll be bringing parents and kids/student ministry leaders together to unpack each phase our kids are going through, and to gain a deeper understanding of what their needs may look like in each of these.
- We’re providing a continental breakfast and delicious coffee from our local friends, Sweet Hart Coffee Co! There will be practical parenting resources available for you, and AWESOME door prizes— because what would a conference be without them?!
- The cost to attend is $15 per person. We don’t want any parent, guardian, or ministry leader to miss out. If finances are an obstacle, please contact [email protected].
- Due to limited childcare resources, we encourage our attendees to secure their own childcare if possible. However, we will provide childcare for children who are pre-registered. Kids ages newborn-kindergarten will be on-site, and 1st-6th grade students will be at the Bradford Branch YMCA.
- Registration will close at noon on Sunday, September 4th.
We will be unable to accept walk-up childcare registrations on the day of the event, so please include your childcare needs on this registration. Should your needs change after registering, please contact [email protected] before the day of the event.
